For those unable to attend the clinic in-person, NeuroGym\u00ae offers enhanced virtual therapy sessions via a secure online system. To participate, clients receive a link via email and do not need to download any software. A device with a camera (such as a laptop, iPad, desktop computer or smartphone) and internet will be required. In some cases, it may be necessary to have a family member\/session partner available to assist with training.<\/p>

Before your first session, NeuroGym\u00ae offers a free 15-30 minute consultation to ensure that you understand how the technology works and to consult with the Physiotherapist about available therapy options\/any questions or concerns you may have. Most private health care plans are covering telerehabilitation physiotherapy sessions during COVID-19. We suggest calling your insurance company to discuss and confirm coverage.<\/p>

NeuroGym\u00ae also provides the option of renting our custom equipment in combination with our virtual sessions. \u201cI found NeuroGym after my mum had a massive stroke in Feb\/20. Because of Covid she was sent home to basically fend for herself with little or no stroke help or rehab. Fortunately, my brother and I were very involved and were able to have a very active part in her recovery. After being left with total paralysis on her left side I was determined to help her with Physio and to stop her from losing more leg muscle. I felt she needed the adult version of a baby \u201cJolly Jumper\u201d and proceeded to google for one. This is how I found NeuroGym\u201d. I was directed to the Sit to Stand equipment which we were able to get shipped to Toronto so we could rent and use it out of our home. We are having great success with mum and loved working with Avi. He has been the only person (along this journey) where we have received stroke information and the process to actively get mobility back. After 4 months of virtual therapy my mum has progressed from someone who I thought would never get out of bed to a one person assist now.
